Orange Box of K’Nex: £4
Although Ted is not buying any more K’Nex, he was suddenly struck by a moment of weakness at the car boot sale and he found himself with this. Perhaps he still needs to replenish his supply of pieces having completed his fruit machine; or perhaps he is so weak that he just can’t resist a bargain. Whatever, he trudged 3½ miles back home with this in his backpack.
The seller wanted £5, but Ted exhibited his well-rehearsed look of shock horror and got it for a pound less.
20 Pads of Cellulose-Based Sheets: £2
Once again Ted has picked up a bargain.
Each pad contains one hundred sheets of a white material consisting of an aqueous deposit from linen rags, esparto, wood pulp or other form of cellulose, on which, using an appropriately-designed implement, lexical information or messages may be formed, or graphical representations created, for those people who, for some reason or other, do not wish to use a digital-based alternative.
